As of March 2021, the fuel charge remains relatively low at $0.32.Grenlec continues to encourage customers to help manage bills by using energy wisely. |

Maintaining Health & Safety Amid Covid-19 |

2020 was undoubtedly a year like no other with unprecedented challenges. While maintaining strict safety measures, we continued to provide reliable electric service and community support to keep our nation energised. Among the extraordinary efforts, some Grenlec team members volunteered to stay in safe houses during the lockdown period. |

30% Covid-19 Relief Discount: |
|
|
Grenlec was pleased to respond to the Government of Grenada’s request to provide a discount to customers. Government contributed $10M and Grenlec $3M.
A 30% reduction in electricity charges (fuel and non-fuel) was implemented for April, May and June billing periods. Disconnections were also suspended from March 2020 through August 2020. |

The GCPI contributions of $500,000 to support COVID-19 efforts are listed below: |

1. Testing equipment for the General Hospital Laboratory
2. Meals for quarantine centres
3. Support of the Royal Grenada Police Force through purchases of food supplies and the payment for the shipping of a fire truck from Miami to Grenada.
4. Financial assistance to 13 care institutions
for children and the elderly.Grenlec has invested more than $22 million in a variety of educational, sporting, health & safety, cultural and social services to better serve our communities. This programme is ongoing, with assessments being done for additional project awards in 2021. |
