Grenlec Begins Service Restoration Following the Passage of Hurricane Beryl

Our thoughts are with the families and communities that have been affected by Hurricane Beryl.

We are thinking especially about our family members, friends and colleagues in Carriacou and Petite Martinique as well as the north of mainland Grenada.

Over the last few hours, Grenlec’s crews have been assessing lines and have started service restoration.

A number of areas in the South have been restored and the Company is meeting about sixty percent of customer demand at present.

We wish to thank all our hard-working team members, who are engaged in the restoration efforts.

We will continue work through 11PM/midnight this evening to restore electricity to as many customers as possible. Thereafter, restoration work will continue tomorrow.

We regret any inconvenience and assure customers that our crews are working as quickly as they can to safely return electricity to all customers.
