2025 GCPI Highlights
Education
Grenlec Debates
The 2025 Grenlec Debates brought together schools across the tri-island state for a season of discussion and exchange on topical issues. Congratulations to St. Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School for earning its fourth championship and to all the schools for the high-quality performances of students throughout the Season.

NEWLO Classroom Furniture
The NEWLO project was especially meaningful because it provided an opportunity for students to contribute by building combo-chairs for their own classrooms as part of their skills training.
Arts, Heritage and Culture
Preserving Traditional Mas
Traditional Mas remains a vital part of Grenada’s cultural expression and identity, deeply rooted in history, creativity and community participation. Its continued vitality reflects the dedication of traditional masqueraders, organisers, and cultural practitioners who work tirelessly to document, showcase and preserve these traditions for future generations.
Beyond Traditional Mas, the rich cultural heritage of our Tri-Island is also expressed through longstanding events such as Lion’s Ole Mas, the Carriacou Maroon & String Band Festival and Petite Martinique Whitsuntide Regatta. Led by committed organisers and supported by community partners, these events play an important role in strengthening cultural awareness, participation, and pride across our tri-island nation.

Social Services
Rebuilding in Carriacou & Petite Martinique
In the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, recovery efforts in Carriacou were driven by the resilience and determination of residents, various partners and communities residents working together to rebuild and outfit homes.

GRENCODA
GRENCODA is a longstanding GCPI partner, and its impact continues to be recognised through support for initiatives such as the Ursula Baptiste Child Development Centre. Refurbishments carried out between 2024 and 2025, including roof and kitchen upgrades, helped improve the centre’s facilities and support GRENCODS’s ongoing work in early childhood development.

Care Institutions
Annual grants continued to be provided to a number of care institutions as part of ongoing support efforts focused on maintaining essential services and facilities.
Sport
Women’s Cricket and Netball
Reviving a longstanding partnership with the Grenada Cricket Association, the team began execution of an ambitious strategy to develop women’s cricket in Grenada.
In addition, annual collaboration with Netball Grenada and the St. Mark’s Football League continued, promoting organised sport, youth development and community engagement through healthy competitions and programmes.
