Grenlec Community Partnership Initiative
Established in 1994, the Grenlec Community Partnership Initiative (GCPI) has impacted a broad range of communities and people through collaborations in the following areas:
Education – support for broad-based developmental programmes to benefit schools and the wider population, contributing to the development of our nation’s human resource capital.
Science and Technology/Energy – support for programmes and projects that encourage innovation and sustainability; programmes that promote interest in these areas.
Social Services/Community Development – support for developmental projects; infrastructural and other sustainable programmes designed to benefit qualifying communities.
Sport – supporting infrastructural and/or developmental initiatives of umbrella sporting associations and recognised stakeholders.
Arts, Heritage and Culture – enabling the continuance of national parish events, and developmental programmes.
Environment – support for projects that serve to develop awareness or preserve land-based and marine resources for the benefit of communities.
The following are some GCPI highlights from 2024.

It was our honour to continue our longstanding partnerships with Netball Grenada, the St. Mark’s Football League and others to promote development of and participation in sport.
CARIFTA
We also joined the Grenada Athletics Association and other partners as Grenada hosted the 2024 CARIFTA Games.

Arts, Heritage and Culture
We congratulate Team Grenada on winning another gold medal and the President’s Award at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Annual Chelsea Flower Show. It has been an honour to share in your success over the years.

Sister Isles Festivals
While the story of Carriacou and Petite Martinique in 2024 was dominated by Hurricane Recovery, we salute our annual partners, the organisations and individuals who are keeping the traditions alive. The vibrant Carriacou Maroon & String Band Festival and the Petite Martinique Whitsuntide Regatta were again calendar favourites.
We deepened our collaboration with Spicemas to extend the impact of Traditional Mas and support the Lions’ Club Ole Mas endeavour.
