Grenlec Debates 2025 Open with a Focus on Mental Health and Wellness in the Digital Age
The 2025 Grenlec Debates officially begin today, Wednesday, 17 September, as 20 secondary schools across Grenada face-off in the preliminary round of this year’s competition.
At the heart of the preliminary round is the timely theme: Mental Health and Wellness in the Digital Age. Guided by the sub-theme, Balancing Technology, Lifestyle, and Wellbeing in Schools, Workplaces, and Society, students will examine how technology shapes daily life and explore ways to maintain balance in an increasingly connected world.
The impromptu Grenlec Debates continue to shine as a launchpad for young voices, encouraging students to step into the spotlight with confidence and clarity. Each season brings fresh perspectives, spirited exchanges and a glimpse of the leaders our students are becoming.
Audiences will have the chance to share in the excitement starting in October, when highlights of the Preliminaries and the other matches come to life on television and Grenlec’s YouTube channel.
