Thursday, 2 May 2019: We refer to a recent article in The New Today, in which Minister Gregory Bowen provided comments on the Social Fund. Grenlec would like to take this opportunity to provide much needed clarification on the Minister’s comments, especially concerning the source of funds for the Social Fund and the Electricity Supply (Amendment) Act 2017 (the “Act”).
Wednesday, 10 April 2019: The Charles Memorial Home is the most recent of six care institutions to benefit from a renewable energy gift from Grenlec. The 32-panel, 10 kW rooftop Solar Photovoltaic (Solar PV) system, which was handed over to the Charles Memorial Home will help offset the institution’s electricity costs.
Friday, 22 March 2019: In the last quarter of 2018, Grenlec launched its “Give A Wish” promotion inviting customers to nominate someone or a cause to receive a gift from Grenlec. Thousands of nominations were made via Grenlec’s online platform and in-store boxes.
Tuesday, 20 November 2018: When the two finalists in the Grenlec Debates meet each other on Thursday, 22 November, they will debate the motion ‘Be it resolved that Caribbean education has not met the developmental needs of our region’.
Monday, 22 October 2018: The quarter finals of the Grenlec Debates will take place on 23 October, 2018 where eight secondary schools will meet to explore the theme “Litter and Our Environment”. Following is the match schedule of the Quarter Final round.
