Grenlec Assists SJCSS With New Auditorium

Students of the St. John’s Christian Secondary School (SJCSS) are now benefitting from a new auditorium as part of the Grenlec Community Partnership Initiative (GCPI).  The new facility will provide a venue for morning assemblies, lectures, concerts and presentations.

July 8th 2014, St. George’s Grenada. The buzz has started, as our nation’s biggest cultural festival draws closer. There are a number of Grenadian traditions that are often reflected in our Traditional Mas portrayals, from the passionate chants of Short Knee and Wild Indians, the stomping of the Vieux Croix to the colourful display by May Pole Dancers and Moko Jumbies.

GRENLEC and NEWLO Empowering Youth

Friday, 4 April 2014:  Trainees at the New Life Organisation (NEWLO) are enjoying improved facilities through a partnership with Grenada Electricity Services Ltd. GRENLEC).   Through this collaboration, GRENLEC has provided more than $70,000 in funding for the renovation of the Sewing Department, including treatment for termite infestation and construction of the roof.  The corridor joining the Sewing Department to the Adolescent Development Programme Department and washrooms were also renovated.
