On Saturday 20 may, Grenlec held its Energy Expo in Carriacou for the first time. Local businesses Dollarman One Stop, Paddy’s Enterprise & Hardware and The Wireman’s House from Grenada joined Grenlec in this customer outreach initiative to engage customers in order to help them better manage their energy consumption and save money.
On showcase were various energy efficient products and services; information on hurricane preparedness; and Grenlec team members to help customers understand their electricity bill.
Wallace Collins, Manager of Grenlec’s Carriacou Operations said, “This event gave customers the opportunity to learn how they can manage their energy costs and see the options (appliances) available to them that can help reduce their consumption,”
Visitors to the expo were particularly excited to see and interact with Grenlec’s electric vehicle, the first of its kind in Carriacou.
“We were honoured to host this initiative in Carriacou and to see customers participating in the event,” Collins continued.
Grenlec will continue to actively engage customers in meaningful ways and provide information on energy management, safety, and other energy related matters. Grenlec thanks the exhibitors, Wayne’s Auto Rentals & Services, and customers who participated in the Expo and encourages customers to follow its social media channels for energy tips and other information.
